Back from the dead...

Okay...so it's been a while since I posted last, and I feel like there is a ton I need to write about....so this could be a long post! My computer died for a couple of weeks...so that is my excuse for not posting (eventhough it's been a lot longer than 2 weeks...but that's still my excuse!).

At the end of May, my Grandpa Bill passed away. He suffered from Lou Gherig's disease and was miserable for a long time. Eventhough it is good to know that he isn't suffering any more, we still miss him very much. We went to Orem for the funeral and were able to see so much family that we haven't seen in a very long time. That was really the highlight during such a sad time.
Next...Hudson turned three on June 10th!

He is soooo excited to finally be three. On his birthday, we went to the park and had lunch and then went out for some ice cream. We didn't do much because Talen was on call and all the extended family was in Heber City. He still had a fun day, just relishing the fact that he was three.

That weekend we went for a short trip to Heber City, where all the rest of the family was, to watch Talen's sister (Dally) rodeo in the High School State Finals. We always have such a fun time, and the boys loved it just to be doing something different. Hudson was in love with the big tractor that dragged the arenas and would follow it around, and Boston was in love with all the animals! Of course, I didn't take any pictures...but it was a fun, but short weekend.

That Sunday, we had Hudson's birthday party...I was videoing, and Talen was on camera duty, but didn't do the best job.

He at least got kind of a picture of Hudson's favorite present...his big boy bike. He's been asking for one forever, and was so excited to see Talen bring it out. We had to tear him away to blow out his candles, and he wouldn't even stay to eat his cake...for the rest of the party he was on his bike (and now pretty much anytime we're outside!). He loved everything else he got...especially the nerf dart guns he got from his cousins...he and Talen like to gang up on me! It was such a nice day!!

Somtime in between all of this, Hudson had his 3 year check-up and Boston had his 15-18 month checkup. Here are their stats: Hudson; weight-36.4 lbs 89%, height-40 in 95%...Boston; weight-25.5 lbs 54%, height-32.5 in 73%. The doctor said that he is excited to watch Hudson grow...he has never been below 95% in his height, so he imagines that he will be tall! Boston is about average...but he is talking more than most boys his age would be. Boston was the only one who needed shots this time...he got two and cried for half of a second. Hudson was just relieved that he didn't have to get any...I don't think he would have done as good as Boston!

Then last(I think), but not least, it was Father's Day this past Sunday. Talen doesn't like to make a big deal out of his special days and told me not to get anything for him. Well, we didn't get him much...but, thanks to Hudson, he found out what everything was before Sunday. I need to remember to not take him shopping with me anymore! His only request on Sunday was biscuits and gravy for breakfast, so I managed that pretty well. I hope that all the father's out there had a great day!!

Oh wait, there's still more...the weekend before Father's day, I was able to play volleyball in the Summer Games in Cedar City. It was sooooo much fun! I wish I had taken my camera with me, because the girls I played with were awesome! We ended up fourth in our pool, but we actually played really well for never all playing together before. I was so incredibly sore after, but it was well worth it! I hope that next year we'll be able to do it again!

Okay, whew!! I really think I'm done for now! I knew that I needed to post soon because the Bundy Reunion is coming up, and that's always a long post by itself...and I will remember my camera for that:) Until then, I hope everyone is doing well and is having a great summer!!
