Two Days of Fun

Last week on Tuesday, my sister-in-law had her baby and I got to watch her other two kids, Ashten and Treyson while they were in the hospital. Hudson absolutley loves playing with his cousins and had a blast because they were over for two days! They had a lot of fun playing in the swimming pool, digging in the sandbox, and watching cartoons! I think Hudson has been a little bored since he only has me and Boston to play with during the day now. We'll have to have the cousins over to play again soon!

Happy Birthday Hudson!!

I cannot believe that it has been two years since we started the journey as parents with Hudson being born. It has been the best two years, and I look forward to watching him grow for years and years to come. Hudson has such a great personality. He is always on the go and he keeps me very busy. He loves his dad and wants to be by his side doing everything just like him. We love you Hudson...Happy Birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mickey Mouse pancakes for breakfast...he loved it!
Hudson was the big winner on the KONY country birthday list...he won a Baskin Robbins ice cream cake. It was much better than the cupcakes I was going to make!
It took him a few tries to blow out the candles...but now he's good and practiced up for when we have his big birthday party with all the family next week. He wanted to blow out the candles and have me sing "Happy Birthday" over and over.
For some reason he would not eat his own piece of cake, but wanted mine and almost ate the whole thing. Of course he wouldn't trade me for his piece...he was quite happy to have two!

4 Months

Well, I took Boston into the pediatrition for his 4 month check up, and he did really good. The doctor could not believe how big he has gotten and how healthy he was. He passed all the tests: he's rolled over, he reaches for things and can hold them in his hands, he looks for me when he hears me talk, he talks to me when I am talking to him, he laughs and giggles, he is going 4 hours between feeds and is sleeping through the night. The doc said he would be having a serious discussion with me if he wasn't sleeping through the night seeing how big he is! Now we can start him on some rice cereal...we're just practicing, because he is a little unsure of it. He weighed in at 16 lbs. 10 oz. (80th percentile) and 25 1/2 inches (71 percentile). He is still under where Hudson was at this age (almost 19 lbs. and off the charts for both height and weight), but he still seems like a big boy to me! It was funny how much the doctor couldn't believe how healthy he was, because the next day Boston got a cold...a stuffy nose, nasty cough, fever, and I think the start of an eye infection. If it doesn't get better soon the doctor may see him again and change his mind on how healthy he is!
