Happy Easter

Easter was really fun this year because Hudson was able to understand most of what was going on. Saturday we did an easter egg hunt in our backyard to prepare him for the big one on Sunday with his cousins. He had never done an egg hunt before so at first he was a little slow at it. Eventually he caught on and had us hide the eggs over and over. When we got to his grandparent's house on Sunday for dinner, he spotted the eggs all over the front yard and wanted to go get them. He was really bummed when we made him wait til after dinner! Once everyone was done eating we let the kids go outside. They had such a fun time running around looking for eggs. There were supposed to only be 60 eggs, but they ended up finding 63...? I'm so glad we live close to Talen's family so Hudson can experience traditions like these with his cousins. Overall we had a very nice Easter!

You just can't get mad...

I took these pictures a while ago, but I just had to put them on here. This is what happens when I'm busy in the other room with Boston and I can't keep Hudson from getting into things. Usually by the time I get to him, he's taken all the dishrags out of the drawer, or something trivial like that. This time, I found him inside the dryer throwing the clean clothes out onto the floor. When I came to get my camera instead of getting mad at him, Talen questioned my parenting ability. After I took my pictures, I tried to tell him sternly not to do it again...I was trying not to laugh...but, I think he got the message because he's never repeated the offense.

Boston's Blessing Day

I finally got some pictures from Boston's Blessing day which was on March 2nd. We had the luncheon after the blessing in our backyard, and if it weren't so darn cold it would have made the day even better than it was. All of Talen's family were there and some of mine were able to make the trip down for it. It was a really special day for us and I'm so grateful to everyone who came and also helped out with the luncheon. Talen did a great job with Boston's blessing. This was such a wonderful day full of wonderful memories! We love you Boston!

Hooray!!!

Yes...we finally got a dishwasher!!!!!!! It's not the most expensive or top-of-the-line dishwasher, but it's a dishwasher (that works) and that's all that really matters! After 5+ years of marriage without a dishwasher (unless you count Talen), I finally won that arguement. No more sinks full of dishes and me nagging Talen to do them. I guess he finally realized how much easier this would be...he swears he will never do the dishes again:) Yesterday, I was so excited to have the dishwasher that I dirtied all the dishes I could so I could run it last night. It was nice to wake up to a dishwasher full of clean dishes!

Petting Zoo

This past weekend some of my family came down for Boston's blessing. I didn't take any pictures on the blessing day (I'll have to get some that were taken by my family and post them later). But, my nieces really wanted to go and see the animals over at my in-laws. So, Talen saddled a horse and took the kids for a ride. This was Hudson's first time riding a horse by himself. He loved it. Hudson and cousin Kylee on Shortstop.
Hudson and cousin Lizy. This was Hudson's smile for the camera!
They loved the baby goat. Talen even put them up on the sheep, Delilah, and let them ride her.
The girls couldn't get enough of the animals. You could tell this wasn't something that they have seen a lot of. Hudson was another story...he was busy playing in the water, digging in the dirt, and running away. The animals are old news for him!

Cute boys!

I had to post this picture because these boys are just so cute. Hudson and his cousin Bladen were over at Grandma and Grandpa's house on Friday and were outside helping Grandpa water the animals. He took off their shirts so they could get a suntan! They came back in pretty dirty, and when I changed Hudson's diaper it was filled with dirt. He didn't seem to mind a bit...he loves helping his Grandpa!
