Kiddie Pics & Dr. Appt.

Boston did so good getting his pictures taken yesterday. There was a lady that got there before us that had a little girl who did not want to be there at all and I wanted to ask her if we could go before her because I knew Boston would do so well. I didn't...but I wanted to:) Regardless, he still did very good and we got some super cute pictures of him. Then, we had his 1 year check-up earlier this week and he did really good there too. He had to have three shots:( But he only cried for a little bit...I think Hudson was more sad for longer than he was. He weighed in at 23 lbs. 14 oz. (66%) and was 29" long (23%). The doctor said that he was looking very healthy and to just keep up with what we've been doing. It's weird for me to go in and see Boston being in the 66% & 23% when Hudson was always off the charts...but the doctor reassured me that he is just fine and I don't need to worry about it at all. I'm jut glad that he is healthy and growing!

Our baby is one!

A year ago today, Boston was born! This year has gone by so fast I can't even believe it. He was such an easy baby...and he's still pretty easy to get along with as long as I'm around:) He is such a sweet and loving little boy. He loves playing with Hudson. He loves animals. He is a really good sleeper and eater (except for the veggies). He is a momma's boy, and I am going to enjoy that as long as it will last! He is walking more and more every day and just turning into a little man.

We had a little family birthday party for Boston today and, despite the eye infection, he seemed to have a good time. Hudson helped a lot with opening presents, but he did pretty good on his own. He wasn't too interested in destroying his cake...instead he just picked at the cake and left all the good stuff on his tray.
Hopefully he'll get over his infection soon so we can get some pictures of him for his birthday. I'll post them when we get them taken. I am also taking him in for his one year check-up on Tuesday, so I'll post his stats for that later too.

Picture Day...

...didn't quite go as planned. I had Boston's 1 year picture appointment all set up for this morning, but then he woke up and would not open his eyes...at all:

So, we spent our morning in the instacare instead! Somewhere Boston caught a nasty little eye infection...what a nice birthday present for him, huh?!?

Our New Year

Last week we went up to visit my family for Christmas. It was a good weekend other than the fact that Boston was sick the whole time. This picture was on the way up...he had a fever and I just thought he was getting a tooth. Well, long story short...we ended up at an urgent care place one night because he wasn't breathing very well. Turns out he wasn't just getting a tooth after all! His throat was really bad and his tonsils were huge. Poor kid.

It seems like our kids always end up in pink pajamas at some point while visiting my family. Hudson even had to borrow some underwear from Lizy because we didn't bring any with us to Brandy's house! These are Hudson and Boston's cute cousins Lizy and Kylee:

Well, we got home...Boston was fine, and we just tried to recover from the last couple weeks of craziness. Over this past weekend, Hudson went out to the ranch with dad and grandpa again. He absolutely loves going with them. This picture is from the night before when we were getting everything ready for them to go:

I just thought this picture of Boston was cute...he is completely and totally 100% a mama's boy! While Talen and Hudson were gone...he had his mom all to himself and he loved it. He was actually not very happy when the boys got home that night because I think he realized our day alone was over! I love that he loves me most...but I think one day we may have a problem:) Well, that's been our new year so far...hopefully the year will just get better and better!
